Mother’s Day – Handprint Photo Frame Activity

Class: 4A

Date: 9th May 2026

Venue: Classroom

Teacher In-charge: Mr. J. E. Nath

On 9th May 2026, the students of Class 4A participated in a meaningful and enjoyable Mother’s Day craft activity conducted in the classroom under the supervision of Mr. J. E. Nath. The activity was organised to encourage students to express their love and gratitude towards their mothers by creating a handmade keepsake.

For the activity, the children used black chart paper, white paint, ice cream sticks, and decorative materials to design attractive handprint photo frames. Each student carefully placed a white hand impression on the black background, creating a beautiful contrast that made the artwork stand out. The frames were then decorated creatively using coloured accents and neatly arranged ice cream sticks to give them a finished and elegant look.

The students showed great enthusiasm and excitement throughout the activity. They enjoyed painting, decorating, and assembling their crafts while putting in their best efforts to make the gifts special for their mothers. The classroom atmosphere was cheerful and lively as the children shared ideas and admired each other’s creations.

The activity helped develop the students’ creativity, fine motor skills, and artistic expression. More importantly, it taught them the importance of showing appreciation and love for their mothers. The completed handprint frames turned out beautifully, and the students were proud and happy to take home their handmade Mother’s Day gifts as a token of affection and gratitude.
