Investiture Ceremony Report (2026) St. Joseph’s College, Nainital
The Investiture Ceremony of St. Joseph’s College, Nainital, was held with great dignity and enthusiasm, marking an important occasion that celebrates leadership, responsibility, and commitment among students.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome extended to the respected Principal, Rev. Br. Sebastian George, teachers, parents, and students. The significance of leadership and the role of young leaders in upholding the values and traditions of the institution were highlighted. The event emphasized that leadership is not merely about authority, but about setting an example through service, integrity, and dedication.
The programme began with a hymn, creating a solemn and spiritual atmosphere. This was followed by the ceremonial march of the newly elected prefect body.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal conferment of badges by the Principal, Rev. Br. Sebastian George, who officially appointed the office bearers for the academic year 2026.

As their names were announced, the students stepped forward to receive their badges, symbolizing the responsibilities entrusted to them.
Following the badge distribution, the newly appointed leaders took an oath of allegiance and loyalty to the school, pledging to carry out their duties with sincerity and dedication.
The ceremony continued with a prayer led by Pant House Captain Vineet Jaiswal, invoking blessings for wisdom and guidance. Thereafter, the Principal addressed the gathering, inspiring the students to lead with courage, humility, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The programme also included a message emphasizing that true leadership lies in leading by example. The student body sought the blessings and support of teachers and parents for their new journey.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a thunderous round of applause for the newly appointed office bearers. The College Captain, Brahmroop Singh Thind, also shared a few words on behalf of the student council.
The ceremony ended on a patriotic note with the college anthem followed by the national anthem.
